Terms for using MakerBatch

These practical terms set expectations for the MakerBatch private beta. They are written to be understandable and may be refined as the service grows.

Private beta access

MakerBatch is currently a private beta. Access may require an invitation, and beta features may be incomplete or change while we learn from makers using the product.

Your information and decisions

You are responsible for the accuracy of the supplies, recipes, quantities, costs, orders, customer details, and other information you enter or import. Review MakerBatch results before relying on them for production or purchasing decisions.

Planning assistance, not a guarantee

MakerBatch is a planning and organization tool. It does not guarantee inventory accuracy, production capacity, delivery dates, profitability, or marketplace outcomes, and it does not provide financial, tax, legal, or marketplace-compliance advice.

Lawful and responsible use

Use MakerBatch only for lawful business purposes. Do not upload harmful content, passwords, authentication secrets, payment-card data, or information you do not have permission to use. You remain responsible for complying with the rules of Etsy or any other marketplace you use.

Your content

You keep ownership of the business information you enter. You allow MakerBatch and its service providers to process that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

Optional Etsy integration

Connect only Etsy shops you own or are authorized to manage. The current connection foundation requests read-only API access, does not import orders yet, and does not ask for your Etsy password.

The term ‘Etsy’ is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

Service changes and availability

During the beta, MakerBatch may add, remove, pause, or discontinue features or the service. We may revoke access for abuse, security risks, unlawful activity, or violations of these terms.

Exports and backups

MakerBatch provides business-data exports under Settings → Data export. You are responsible for downloading and keeping any backups you need. Beta availability and data retention are not guaranteed.

Updates to these terms

These terms may change as the private beta develops. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
